Thank you for the use of your lower extremity dressing aid prototype for my son. After a horrible accident and five hours in surgery, he needs extensive care. He spent a week in Regional One Medical Center here in Memphis. When the occupational therapists visited him to discuss his ongoing care, I explained how he would not be able to dress himself. You can imagine how a 17 year old boy would feel about his mother having to dress him. I mentioned your lower extremity dressing aid to the therapists and they were so excited about it. “I’ve suffered from all over osteoarthritis that has caused me to stiffen up and have terrible pain. My left knee was replaced totally in 2013 and now my left hip needs to be replaced. My stiffness is also due to the degenerative disc‘s in my neck and back, at every level. So putting on shoes and socks is a real challenge. Pants and underwear are another whole problem when dressing, so using devices to assist in these chores are a must! I have named this new dressing aid provided to me as “the magic eight” because it really is magically helpful in a sitting position or even standing while holding onto my dresser, it was a snap to get my underwear and pants on with this dressing aid.
